[SOLD] Built L98 long block $400

355 L98 Long block for sale.

I had it built for my 86 Z28. The block is from a 91 Z28 I got from a member a few years ago. Then it was tore down, cleaned up, and bored .30, polished crank, and new bearings. The heads were tanked and cleaned had the valves done and new crane springs and lifters. Has the original balancer, starter, no intake or accessory brackets or pulleys.

I've got $1,400 in the motor right now I'd like to get $400 out of it.
I won't ship. Local pickup only.

More pics at http://picasaweb.google.com/claykessler/Ebay#

Thanks.

I'd rather it be pickup. I'll ship if I need to but I don't have any idea of freight cost.

I picked up the hedman headers and Y pipe from lostangel today and he has been a great person to deal with.

I'll sell the shortblock for $450 if you can pick it up. I don't know how much it weighs and don't have a pickup truck to move it with anymore, So fright ship is'nt an option right now.

In the pictures you have I don't see the lifters installed. Is there no cam or any valvetrain accessories?? I've been looking for a block and would want mine 30 over anyway but I also would want to find one that has the hydraulic rollers in it and such so I have a more complete setup. Let me know what you're including in the shortblock for 450. I could easily come and pick up if I choose to purchase as I am just south of Cleveland.

Re: Built L98 long block $750

the stock cam is in it. the pics were without the lifters. I just haven't dropped them in yet. I have the spider retainer for the lifters that also is'nt in the pics. In the shortblock is everythng under the heads and intake except the pushrods. Block, crank, bearings, rods, pistons, rings, lifters, cam, cam bearings, oil pumpi also have the original starter.I think thats it. Did I miss something?

That sounds about right. Just needed to make sure this was a good complete shortblock. I need to think for a day or so about it and I will get back to you but it is an insane deal. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

Also, the pistons that are in it. I see they are flat top pistons. Do you happen to know how many cc the valve reliefs are? Or what compression ratio the pistons are rated for?

If you decide that you want to sell him just the short block, I'd still be interested in the heads for 300. If the casting number is the one I'm looking for. Please let me know the number, and the valve sizes currently installed on them.

You're not heading to Cinci for anything anytime soon, are you? I'm in Knoxville, TN and Cinci is doable, but Columbus is a bit of a haul.

Can I PayPal a 50% deposit to hold it and pick it up August 29th and bring the rest to you? I have National Guard drill this weekend and can't afford not to not work this week coming up, Sundays are my only day off
