I have a TH 400 transmission & Spohn Crossmember for sale. The transmission was Built by Bowler Performance transmissions ( http://www.bowlertransmissions.com/ ) It has never been used or bolted in since I had it built. The case is powdercoated red and inside, it has a hardened imput shaft, reverse pattern manual valve body & a transbrake. This is a nice tranny and also has an aftermarket pan. I also have a Spohn crossmember that I bought from a guy on this board that is in like new condition, sorry, no torque converter. This was built to be a bulletproof set-up and will withstand a lot of power. I'll take $1200 for the tranny and crossmember "shipping not included". I will separate the tranny & crossmember, but only after I have a buyer for the transmission.


BTW, I have a factory folding rear hatch panel that is covered with grey carpet. It will probably need to be cleaned, but is in great shape $70 Shipped "have no use for it since I tubbed the car".

Tell you what, I'll knock off $100 and apply that towards shipping if you are interested. The core came from a 66 Chevelle and I had it built by Bowler Transmission roughly four years ago. It's never been bolted to an engine since being built and has been sitting on the shelf since the day I picked it up. TH 400's are supposed to be top notch when it comes to toughness & building bullet proof transmissions, but I 'm going to settle for and run a TH 350 even if it's the weaker of the two. "advice from my engine builder / guy that's helping me so all of this chassis, suspension & drivetrain mod's".

how much power was the trans built to handle, does it have shift kit? im overhauling the driveline of my friends gta and need a trans that can handle 500hp, how many spline is the tailshaft? (not that big of a deal) can have money in a week

 

It will be tomorrow morning before I can give you the spline count "I'm at work now". This transmission was built to handle serious HP and I was going to put it behind my smallblock that is turning out right at 575HP. As far as a shift kit goes, it has a manual valve body, so for it to shift you must do it manually with your shifter "kinda like a manual transmission that doesn't use a clutch". If your friends car is turning 500 horses, this transmission would be a perfect match. If you have any other questions get back with me.
