TH350 short tail, Ratchet shifter

These are parts that came out of a second gen I bought. I had intended on using the trans on my Z28, however I have since opted to run a manual.

The trans is a Th350, short tail shaft. It was rebuilt a few years ago, and installed in an '80 behind a 358 making maybe 300hp.. The guy I bought the car from says he ran it about 2500 miles. Based on the oil leak (dizzy, valve covers) I thought he was full of it but when I yanked the heads off I realized that it's probably more true than not. The inside of the motor was absolutely amazing, no wear, fresh hone marks, zero carbon.

Anyhow.. I tested the trans around the yard. Seems good. $250 for local pickup.

Next, I have a hurst Vmatic ratchet shifter. This is set up to fit in a 2nd gen console, but you could probably make it work anyhow. $100 plus shipping.

Do you have the console that the shifter origanally came with? I am wanting to put it in a truck and would like to have that.

I do but the 2nd gen camaro consoles are kind of expensive on the used market. You might be better off buying a shifter meant for a truck that has a built in covering.

I was not reffering to the camaro console, but the little one for floor mounting the shifter, like. If this was origanally meant for a camaro console it may not have come with one, are you familiar with what I am talking about?

Yes. This does not have the surround part, this has a shifter plate and is intended for use in a 2nd gen camaro console. You could probably get the surround part, however I question if the shifter would be tall enough for use in a truck.

TTT. I keep tripping over the trans. Someone must want it for their strip car.
