Big Comp Hyd Roller Cam....1 hr run time!
Cam is hydraulic roller with about one hour of run time. In great shape but I went bigger.
I still have the cam card...it is Comp's 3315/3316 on a 112 LSA.
.510/.520 lift
230/236 @ .050
If more info is needed please ask.
$175
Both Gen I and LT1. For LT1 use you would need to pull out the shorter dowel pin and replace it with a longer LT1 pin, that's it.
Standard firing order.
The cam is pretty much perfect.

Custom Grind. Comp grind #'s 3315 and 3316. Take a look in their catalog on their website.

Re: Big Comp Hyd Roller Cam....1 hr run time!
Tony, you obviously don't know anything when it comes to cam profiles so let me explain it again...THE CAM IS A CUSTOM (NOT OFF THE SHELF PART NUMBER) COMP CAM WITH COMP GRIND NUMBERS OF 3315 AND 3316. I don't understand why this is difficult to comprehend. See where I wrote Comp grind #'s 3315/3316 in my previous post? Don't become angry due to your ignorance.
Lets walk you through this...
Click http://compcams.com/Technical/Catalo...obeCatalog.pdf.
Scroll down (with your mouse trackball if equipped, for instructions, PM me) to page 16 of the actual .pdf file.
The left hand column will list the grind/lobe numbers. You are looking for 3315 and 3316. These will be located approximately 2/3 down the page.
If you need to know what all the little numbers mean PM me.
Here's a picture of the cam card. I circled the GRIND NUMBERS in red for you.

Re: Big Comp Hyd Roller Cam....1 hr run time!
When I picked this out I wanted a cam that produced great overall power but was still within the safe limits of vacuum brakes. It gave me no issues with my power brakes and gives off plenty of vaccum signal for an EFI car.
I went bigger because I went carb and do not daily drive the car.

Re: Big Comp Hyd Roller Cam....1 hr run time!
I don't know the poster but I do know this:
The 3315 and 3316 are from the CompCams Xtreme Energy CRC (Constant Radius of Curvature) lobe profile series. They have perhaps the most aggressive ramps of all the HRs made by Comp, even more so than the XFI lobes.
Those lobes are, to me, top of the line. There are two series within CRC lobes, the 3100 series and the 3300 series. The 3100 series are more aggressive over the nose and require either more spring or less RPM.
3315 has a .006 duration spec of 282 amd at .050 it's 230. Lobe lift is .340, so you can do the math to come up with valve lift, dependent on the rocker arm ratio you're running.
Comp's catalog lists the valve lift for 1.5, 1.6 and even 1.7s for both lobes.
The 3316 is one step up and on his cam is used as the exhaust lobe. It's rated at 288 @ .006 and 236 @ .050; it's lobe lift is .347.
This is a custom ground cam, not an off-the-shelf profile. 112 LSA makes them an excellent choice for a computer controlled (ECM/PCM) system.
I've run the CRC lobes before in a L98 415 CID with a Mini-Ram and that sucka was NICE!
My thoughts are the cam would work best on a 383 and up.
I was about to order one just like it from Comp for my 388 but I came across a XFI for a Forum member - same duration - for a price I just couldn't resist.
I'm about to do a heads and cam swap on my son's 96 LT1, but his cam one step too long in duration for my son's stock bore 350. I'm going with the 3314 and 3315 ground on 113s. That translates into 224/230 @ .050 So I'm putting the seller's intake lobe on my exhaust and going one step (6 degrees) down on the intake duration.
I don't have any interest in this sale, just trying to help. Hope it does.

Re: Big Comp Hyd Roller Cam....1 hr run time!
While the duration and lift specs are the same, his lobes are actually different, particularly in the ramp area.
I just found it and here's what Comp says about the 3100 and 3300 series lobes:
"These designs have the Xtreme Energy characteristics with the added technology of CRC (Constant Radius of Curvature) inverted radius of curvature ramps. Comp Cams has enhanced this technique to ensure durability with these most aggressive hydraulic roller designs. The high lift versions (numbered in the 3100's) are more aggressive over the nose and will require more spring or less RPM".
So these lobes are different and more refined. His cam runs $303.xx at Comp; I just called Comp last week to get that quote because I'm about to buy one.
