vortec heads, comp springs, locks, retainers, studs
Hello all, I have a set of vortec heads casting 906 that have been completely gone through with zero miles. I just recently bought these off a member here and had my guy at the machine shop go through them. He installed brand new comp 986-16 valvesprings, new seals, and cleaned them up really nice. You wont find a set of heads this clean for the money. I was going to build a stout roller 350 for my monte ss but am selling the car and all the stuff i had to go with it. I have a set of comp oe roller lifters, roller shortblock with zero miles, and ls1 fans for sale as well. Pm me if intersted on those items. I bought these heads and were told the bowls had been slighltly blended and polished. All i know is these are clean heads. The price is 500 shipped firm. Ive got 300 in just the springs and shop labor after i bought them.

stock sized valves. I did some reading and from what i could tell, putting bigger valves in these heads didnt do much for performance. I dont know how true it is, but i researched it quite a bit before i had them rebuilt. From what i gathered, it wasnt worth the time or effort.

Are these still for sale? I have a couple of questions:
1. The 986-16 springs are listed as double springs. Are the valve pocket machines?
2. What lift will these heads support?
3. Are the valves not only stock size but are they stock valves?
4. Have the valves been back-cut? Are the valve seats modified for performance?
5. Have there been any porting doen on these?
I have an interest but want to understand what these are.
