Vortech TBI Supercharger kit. Its an a-Trim with supplementary fuel injection spacer, Haltech FI piggy back computer, cast bracket, custom flat bracket made out of 3/8 in. ball mill aluminum, Vortech brand intake bonnet, tensioner pulley and all the air tubing. It will still need a crank pulley, a filter and a package of mounting bolts from Vortech. I am also including a truck computer and an Edlebrock TBI Perf. intake manifold.

I have 1800 dollars into building this kit. It is almost entirely brand spanking new and unused with the exception of the air tube and the intake manifold.

I'm in Wisconsin also...this may not fit a Camaro TBI...but it could be swapped over to the Camaro/Firebird TPI brackets and fit. The brackets for the Camaro kit are still available. You would just need to use the TBI air system and the TBI secondary fuel injection plate system and supplementary fuel injection computer. The cast bracket and the flat bracket I have won't fit in a Camaro engine bay. I was going to out it in a Caprice so the truck brackets would've worked for me. Let me know if you want to see some pics.

Most likely. I have been talking with my engine builder about an engine build up. I want to make sure he does not want to use it. I would like to go to a dual TBI set up and that would ultimately mean I wouldn't need the intake. The problem is that I have listed this kit on ebay twice now and its not selling. I cant' move forward on the engine build if I don't sell the kit. At this point...I may not even keep the car...but it all depends on when he gets back to me.

i have the stock lo3 heads on my car and im not sure if this intake will work?? you mentioned alot of vortech stuff, but i beleive this will work. im not sure how much to offer, what do you want to get for it?

The Edlebrock Intake sells a lot on ebay for around 150-160 bucks. Brand new its almost 250 I think.

When I said Vortech...I meant the supercharger kit...not Vortec heads.

It should fit...as long as your car has center bolt heads...it should work. Ask some guys you know first...

Yup. Mine is for a truck...with the TBI. Yours is with the TPI. It will not fit the TPI. The discharge tube is totally different...its straight up. Mine is curved. Plus none of the rest of the stuff would be useful to you either. The supplementary fuel injection kit...the air tube...I don't evern know if the TPI version used the same cast bracket.. If you compare the two pictures...they are totally different.
The main difference is the cast intake tube for the TPI...it gets in the way of the alternator and that's why they moved it to the bottom for the the pulley system on the TPI version.

I am not sure a TBI Camaro/Firebird car MIGHT be able to use the TBI Truck blower kit. I would think that the at only 6PSI...the A-Trim would power an L03 no problem. The cast bracket would probably be o.k. but I wonder about the flat bracket and if it would be able to fit in the engine bay right. Another flat bracket might need to be customized. I am not sure. I have only seen Paxton's in TBI powered F-Body's.

I can't be certain that it would fit a TBI F-Body...but I can't say it won't either.

No way. All the parts are brand new. That's a used price. Besides... I have nearly 30 offers like that in the last 17 days now. That's half as much as I want for it and that's seriously half as much as I got into it.

If somebody pieced a kit together like this and got a bargain on every single piece like I did...they would have spent right around 1800 bucks. I scoured for an entire kit like this so it would be brand new at install. Guys aren't gonna be able to find an unused kit like this. The person that gets it can turn around and trade the unused A-Trim in for a $750 rebate and upgrade to the S-Trim very easily.

Sorry for being sarcastic...its not your technically your fault. My reaction is harsh but its the result of many people before you making low offers and expecting something for nothing. If someone wants a supercharged car then they have to pay the premium price for it. $1500 a forth of the price for a brand new LS1 kit. Even the TPI kits are going for 4K still and they have an S-Trim.

Here an article about it. They quote the S-Trim pushing out 295 hp...375 lb-ft on the 350. I estimate from previous conversations with other TBI guys that the A-Trim should produce about 260hp or so on a stock 350 with 193 swirl port heads. Its anybody's guess on a 305 I would say almost 80-100hp gain depending on tuning and hop up parts like cam and exhaust.

1500 firm at a very minimum for the entire kit of parts...which includes the TBI Intake and misc. parts. One big box of stuff... 1500 bucks... firm.

No problem man. I am sorry for being trite and after the fact realize I never stated the price out in the open for people to know.

Its been hard...I think its a nice kit and I thought other people would really think it was a bargain considering how much stuff is there. I really want to sell it as a kit to make it worth it for somebody that is into TBI like I am. I just know what I need out of it and I truly feel that 1500 is more than worth it considering the shape it is in. I mean...it even has some kind of nostalgia to it...especially to the right person. Its not an ungodly powerful kit but to the right person who want to build an engine around it...or even upgrade it to an S-Trim... like I was going to do. An S-Trim pushing like 8-10 lbs is pretty moderate on a 350.

I have gone over this set up a thousand times in my head. A Vortec 4-Bolt block with the Vortec rods on a decent forged crank, some good SRP dished pistons, a basic Comp Cams blower cam and a set of good heads...even Iron heads would be fine...and its an easy 400hp set up. The tuning would have to be there, the supplementary fuel injectors would have to be at least 45lb/hr. and then running 9C1 68lb/hr injectors at high pressure on a large 700CFM TB. Basically it will come down to the tune. Even if it were kept at an A-Trim and pushing only the minimum 6 lbs...theres a good 350 hp there to be had a lot easier than builder and tuning a stroker. For an F-Body...that would be great. For a Caprice...not so great. The car is so big and heavy...a stroker would have a Caprice mowing down the street. So...that is ultimately why I am getting rid of the kit. Its not exactly a good match for my application. Which suxs because I was really gearing up for the project too. I had almost everything I needed.

Yes...it is for a 1988-1993 Chevy TBI Truck. I was going to put it on a Caprice and changed my mind. I am not sure what vehicle you are considering putting it in but it can go on any TBI engine...even a 305. Anything other than a truck may require some customization.

Not sure what you mean by plenum? Is that a TPI term? I think your talking about the air box right? It does sit on top of the TB.

Please remember guys...this kit is for a TBI...just want to mention that again.

I posted the TPI set up pics for the guys who were asking about what the TPI kit looks like in the bay of an F-Body. I posted a built engine that has the Vortech TBI kit on it to see if it may or may not fit in a TBI F-Body. You can compare the two easily to see what it looks like set up on an engine. They are both totally different. They both use entirely different brackets and mounting stuff. The TBI set up is very similar to the carb set up because the TBI sits on the top of the engine the same way. I was going to skip the Vortech supplied air box and use an Extreme Velocity carb hat.

This is a good kit. The 454 SS guys love this kit a a bolt-on. Larger injectors can be used in the supplementary fuel injection spacer. Bosch or Ford injectors work fine. This set up will even work with the Dynamic Fuel Injection computer because its has a 2 Stage Map. With the supplementary fuel injection...it has its own brain box (Haltech brand) that kicks the injectors on under boost via a vacuam line connection. The little box senses boost and it turns the injectors on...on and off like a wall switch...that's it...very simple. The fuel mixes along with the incoming fuel and air from the TB. That's how it gets extra fuel inthere and not mess with the computer tuning. On a 190 hp TBI 350 ...the A-Trim will make 260hp or so and 350ft-lb or so of TQ.

Remember I am also including the Edlebrock intake, a TBI Truck MEMCAL EPROM computer with a Hypertech chip for 1500. You sell those later if you want. The Edlebrock intake is a very nice addition to a blown TBI set up...it flows nicer on the top end where the blower makes the power. On a stock 305...6lb would be nice a mnount of boost.

Again...the reason I am selling is because the Caprice is too big of a car to put a TBI supercharger system to proper use. It won't make the kind of power numbers a 383 will and that's what I have decided to go with. A 2wd truck would be ideal or even a TBI F-Body with a 350/305...but you have to make sure it will fit in the bay and under the hood...that's up to you to determine. I know the cast bracket will bolt up to any SBC engine block. The question is IF the rest of the stuff will not interfere with the stuff under the hood of an F-Body...will the hood close? Will the blower be too tight in the smaller engine bay? I don't know. I can't say.

If I understand correctly, the TB sits atop the manifold in the stock position and the airbox replaces the std aircleaner assembly.

If you could provide a measurement between the surface that sits on the TB and the highest point of the airbox, we could figure out if it would fit under the hood - at least in comparison to whatever aircleaner is being used. An overall width might help some as well.

Wish I was in a position to purchase this, b/c it appears to be a great bargin.

Yes but it doesn't come from Vortech with an intercooler hook up...it would need to be customized....like a lot of the intercooler applications are...only a few companies offered intercoolers on their blower packages when this package became available back in the day...its an older set up....rare by today's standards...only Procharger offers a TBI Supercharger packages nowadays...and its expensive as all heck too...
