World Class T5, rebuilt with all new gears
I have a 1989 World Class T5, freshly rebuilt with all brand new gears (all new main shaft gears and also new countershaft gear). The transmission has only 1000 miles on it since I built it last year. It shifts fast and effortlessly and is as good as brand new (this is a rare thing to find, most T5s on the board here and on Ebay are worn out stock units that grind gears and are generally in need of total parts replacement). I paid great attention to setting the main shaft and countershaft end play correctly, it is a big killer of T5s when the end play gets sloppy. Just the new gears and kit cost over $500. Shifter is a Hurst billet short throw shifter. It has a custom handle I was using in a 2nd gen, I don't know if I can find the original 3rd gen handle, so that may need to be replaced (I'm going to look for it tonight, there is a chance I can find it, I know I kept it). I have a mechanical speedo output on the trans right now, but it can also use the electronic VSS (which is what this trans came with when I got it). A Zoom Organic 10.5" 26 spline clutch disc is included. The pressure plate I have with it is mechanical so it is probably of no use to you, but the Zoom disc will work with your hyd. clutch.
$600, firm, I'll just keep it on the shelf as a spare before I'll take any less, and these world class boxes aren't getting any easier to find. I will ship. The trans is light (under 100 lbs shipping weight, probably around 80 lbs) so it can go FedEx. I will consider a straight up or partial trade for a recently rebuilt 700R4 if it has some performance clutches and hard parts in it (ideally it should be beefy enough to handle my 383 EFI stroker I'm building)

how much power was it built to handle? i had my trans rebuilt over summer for my zz1 motor and its been doing fine (even though i didnt drive it much over winter). probably also has like 1000 miles on it. would you be willing to set me up with a whole swap and then i can do the same for you? i have a megashifter too. just an idea since i live in MD. if its rebuilt to stock specs it will probably crush collapse behind my motor. let me know if you wanna work anything like that out.

It is a world class T5 rebuilt with new stock parts. All of my "swap" parts are from a 2nd gen (yes I went to a ton of trouble to install a T5 in a 2nd gen, drove it 1000 miles, and now want an automatic, I change my mind as often as the weather) so they are useless to you (custom cross member I modified from a 2nd gen x member, straight up bellhousing, mechanical clutch, Ford Mustang driveshaft w/ custom U joints, Pro 5.0 3rd gen shifter w/ custom 2nd gen handle).
The WC T5 will hold up fine behind your 350 as long as you don't 1) Run sticky tires 2) abuse it intentionally. A lot of the T5s blow up on people because they develop end play on the main and counter shafts from being really old and worn out, and then they grenade.

Wow, I have gotten a lot more PM's on this transmission than I expected. I just responded to all of them, sorry it took me a day to get back to people. This is one more bump to the top, although this thing will be gone fast if someone I just got back to follows up with me.
