{SC} FS: New 13.5" Z51 C5/C6 brakes
I have one setup of new C5/C6 Z51 13.5" brakes for sale, yes I did say 13.5" brakes, bigger than C5 brakes. These are the new C6 design rotors drilled from the factory and as pictured with a C5 powdercoated caliper which will fit(C6 calipers available as well). The setup is complete from spindles to brake lines, Earl's DOT approved 1LE lines are included. Here's what you'll get:
Modified spindles, zinc coated hubs, adapter brackets, Timken bearings and seals, new GM ceramic brake pads, Earl's 1LE brake lines, GM banjo bolts and crush washers, new C5/C6 calipers or red powdercoated C5 calipers, all hardware and fully assembled and ready to bolt on. I will charge a $50 spindle core charge or you can send me a set in return, your choice. For wheel concerns, I measured 7.75" from the hub center to the tip of the outer ridges on the installed C5 caliper so I'd lean toward a 18" wheel for fitment but a 17" wheel MAY fit, but without one on hand I can't guarantee that.
$950 +shipping...thanks!
Ed

Yes, still available. The calipers have slight differences in the castings but they will interchange with each other, essentially no difference in fit and performance. C5 ZO6 calipers are powdercoated red, C6 base and Z51 calipers are the same and only come in the dark gray.

The little guy is great, thanks! I'm off until next Sunday, we could probably fit them up in a wheel if you can pull one off.

Sent PM Mike, sorry I missed you.
Kretos, these should fit with no problems, you and Mike probably have the same wheels...17" TT2s, right? If Mike and I can meet I'll take pics and all.

if you want to test them on a Ronal firehawk rim, I've got one you can test it on and I live just a few miles from you.

Yes I will, sorry I havent' gotten to that yet.
Well, the bad news is that these brakes won't fit into 17" Ronals, Todd was kind enough to bring one over to let me fit setups up in it. Also, a regular C5 kit won't fit those wheels either. I also tried both the Z51 kit and C5 kit with a smaller LS1 caliper and they still souldn't fit. Looks like guys with Ronals are limited to 13" HDs or LS1s..sorry.
I'll get with you later this coming week, Mike.
Brakes still available.

Ed Ive got your LS1 brakes on the front of my car. Behind 18 inch wheels the LS1s look too small. I want to go with these Z51 brakes. I guess Ill need new adaptor brackets right? How much for those? I can prolly source the rotors, calipers, ect myself.

Ed, these will fit with a 17" 10 spoke SS wheel with a 2" spacer. It puts the barake down a little farther in the barrel and clears just enough!
