Whats the switch on the steering column...
It's under the dash. I'm doing some rewiring and saw this mounted on the top of the column so I popped it open and now I wish I didn't. All these small pieces came out along with some springs. i don't know if i have all the pieces anymore and also not sure how it goes back together. It has something to do with the steering lock, right?
Whats the correct name for it so i can go buy another. Also if it's not for the lock whats it for?
Thanks,
Dave

Under the dash mounted on the column itself is the headlamp dimmer switch (left side) and the ignition switch (right side).
The ignitiong switch also has a cable mounted to it for the shifter lockout (auto car only obviously).
The lock for the steering wheel is right under the sterring wheel itself.
If your highbeams don't work anymore, you broke the switch.

It has something to do with the ignition, i think there's a rod that goes from the ignition switch down to this thing. The only way you can access this is by dropping the steering column. Also my dash is completely removed, so it's like right there on top.
Any ideas??
