No Power In Cabin

No Power In Cabin
I'm rebuilding an 85 Camaro with my grand dad, had to take the starter off to swap the oil pan. We put it all back together and we got a few cranks out of it, now there Is no power to the cabin at all, no headlights, gauges, crank, nothing. I replaced all the fuses because they were all mismatched but to no avail. And I checked the fusible links coming from the starter, they looked old, but not melted or damaged in any way. Any ideas?

Power at the big terminal of the starter where the batt cable goes?

As far as I know
Measure, report. Don't waste our time until you have the measurement.
only a 12inch run of wire from the battery to the starter

Nobody is forcing you to get your car running either.
Either YOU WANT to get help and advice, or YOU WANT to pretend you're so superior you don't need it, and YOU WANT to pull abuncha "don't talk to me like I mighta made a mistake". Meanwhile, your car sits in the driveway lifeless, while all of mine run and drive, because when MINE break, I have the intellectual humility to be HONEST about what might be wrong. Your choice. The ball is in your court. Swallow your ego and MEASURE, or, ... your car sits in the driveway.
My suggestion is to unwad your panties and rinse the sand outta your vagina, and TROUBLESHOOT instead of "Internet fix my car for me while I do nothing at all NOW!!!!!!!"

If you have a suggestion

Re: No Power In Cabin
So, please explain to all of us, how you have THE ONLY 3RD GEN IN THE UNIVERSE, with a 12" positive batt cable. Pics would help to illustrate how you moved your battery to the neighborhood of your A/C evaporator, or, how you moved your starter up into the vicinity of the pass side headlight. One or the other. No other possibilities are possible. SOMEHOW you must have moved those 2 things within 12" of each other. Which is a MONUMENTAL accomplishment, at the very least; not only would I wish to stand in awe and applaud and even bow down, butt also, I may want to do it to MY car. Assuming of course, that you get it to work, somehow.
Someday. Obviously not today. Mañana perhaps.
So, until we peel back all the layers of BULL PLOP, those of us out here who KNOW HOW CARS WORK, will sit back and laugh. We'll only laugh "with" you, of course; while your car DOESN'T work, and ours DO. "With" you, of course; not "at" you. (much) Because of course, we're ALL very "woke" here, and not only tolerant, butt also respectful, even welcoming, of people who are ... different.
With no further ado, in the interest of the common good, I await your glorious enlightenment.

Now that I have an account on here I'll probably post updated on my progress bringing this beauty back to life.

Re: No Power In Cabin
What you have posted here makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, there is no way that the battery was fully charged, if it had no power at it's terminals! It's gotta be one or the other.
Posting incongruous statements such as what you've posted above are a sure way to have your posts either ignored or ridiculed, as you've already encountered.......

Re: No Power In Cabin
Thnx. Bought the car new in '86; that's how it has always looked since day 1.
I was attempting to get OP to post a pic from the same perspective as my pic in order to try to figure out what he was talking about and then attempt to advise him going forward.
I guess that ship has sailed.
