Electric speedo odometer/trip meter not working

I've searched and have found a lot of information on the mechanical speedo but I have the electronic VSS one. Not the digital dash. My odometer and Trip meter stopped working but the speedometer works fine. Any solutions for this one?

Think I found the problem. There appears to be an electric motor that drives the gear set that turns the odometer. Looks like one of the gears has broken teeth.

This may or not be what you need, I post it to give you a glimmer of hope that there may well be replacements for those gears if ya get lucky in your search.....

Re: Electric speedo odometer/trip meter not working

I was aiming to reply earlier. I got busy and caught up with things today and sweating ***** outside fried my brain and I forgot to get back to your thread. My friend and I have run into this same problem before with our Firebirds. There is a company that makes a kit to fix this with instructions. The gears in this kit are real injection molded gears not 3D printed. Works like a charm to fix the issue a little bit delicate to do.

EDIT: Here it is.

Odometer Gears - Firebird Odometer Gear Kit

Also there are a ton on threads on here about this problem on Firebirds with detailed pictures and instructions.

Firebird Odometer - Broken, but is there a fix?

OMG I just noticed you are in Canada. I guess your Firebird has Metric gauges. If so the Kilometer version of this gear kit isn't ready yet.

Available Soon

Amazing info, thank you! I don't understand why the U.S version wouldn't work in the metric car. I have a 140mph speedometer. It's just the smaller numbers on the scale. in kilometers that's 220, which has 140 right below it.

Never mind. Caught my mistake. The odometer will count differently.
