1985 V6 Firebird No Gauges

OK so if you guys have been following me at all you'll know that I've transplanted the drivetrain and wiring looms including ECM and gauges from one shell to another.

Everything works as it should with the exception of the following :

Not one gauge works
No SES light
No BRAKE light

The car starts and runs fine and the following all work fine :

Blower motor
Power windows
Rad fan
All external lighting
Starter
Trunk release
(There are no power locks or rear window defogger on this vehicle)

I can ground pins A and B in the ALDL and the rad fan starts spinning so I know the ECM is entering diagnostic mode.

On the gauges I have the illumination working and the fasten seat belts light working. This rules out the grounds from the gauges.
I have 12v into the gauges.

I have tested the clocks independently of the car with a power probe. EVERYTHING WORKS.
I have tested every ground feed to the clocks and all is OK.

The two fuses at the front passenger side are fine.
The gauges fuse is fine
The ECM fuses are fine
The ignition switch is fine

All the grounds from the dash are spliced behind the dash (stock) and are grounded fine. I have run new grounds direct to the neg terminal on the battery to eliminate any doubt.

Still no gauges. Not a flicker from them with one exception. Today I simply placed the gauges back into position and the oil pressure gauge slowly descended to 0. That is the ONLY thing that has moved since I started with this issue.

I am completely out of ideas now and it's driving me insane. I need some serious help from people who know the electric on these cars well.

Re: 1985 V6 Firebird No Gauges

Just found out that a light driver module controls the SES light. Any ideas?

EDIT: Ok forget it, it's for carb cars not MPFI cars! Back to the drawing board.

I also forgot to add that at the gauges connections (the two multi connectors, one black, one white) I have no 12v feed at either the e-brake or the SES light which as I am led to believe is wrong. According to the manual the ECM grounds the SES light and the brake light is simply grounded by the switch so what on earth is going on here!?!

Well even though no-one posted I guess I should tell you what it was. Broken pink/black wire in the main dash loom just by the splice. What a pain this has been!
