Alternator Help - upgrading
In a 84 Bird SE 5.0. I am in the process of going from V-belt pulleys to a Serpentine system. The Serpentine system is from an early 90s k2500 pickup. All is going smoothly with the exception of the alternator wiring. So, I am updating the alternator from a 2 prong Alternator/Wire to a 4 Prong Alternator/Wire. This is probably an easy fix - however, I am clueless on this. Any and all help is much appreciated. Regards, Byron

Maybe this diagram will help. If you do a google search, you will be given a couple of choices. If you don't need the extra amperage afforded by the cs130 alternator, you can probably get by with the simple 2 wire hook-up although the remote sensing is a nice feature, especially if you have a big audio system. HTH!
