Canīt turn off the wipers

Hello
Iīm from Sweden and new here.with an Iroc-z z28 -87

I got some problem with my wipers, canīt turn them off unless i take out the fuse or turn of the ignition, then i do that they wonīt stop in "parking mode"
The wipers delay function doesnīt work to

Washing function is working perfect

Could it be the switch that is the problem?

Iīve got the the workshop manual but that didnīt help

( Sorrry if the english is bad )

English was fine! Typically, that is going to be an issue in the wiper motor itself. The wipers are designed to move until they reach "park". if the park switch never opens, they will continue to run. It is possible you could repair the park switch, but if economical, just replace the wiper motor.

Re: Canīt turn off the wipers

i checked the motor today, and all look fine, nothing was loose

In the levelerswitch i feel is a smal "click" between slow and fast but nothing between off and delayfunction

the car has only run 80780mile or 130000km since 87

It’s the park mechanism or a bad switch.

Disconnect the wiper motor module connectors C1 & C2.

Have the wiper switch in the OFF position.

Have the key in the ACC position.

Measure voltage on C2a.

Measure voltage on C1b.

They need to be zero.

If you have voltage there the switch is bad, or a wire is shorted to a voltage source.
