Program for making wire diagrams?
Hey all, the next major quest on my car is going to be rewiring it. Id like to take a "professional" approach and make a wire diagram before I jump in and start, so do any of you have a program that you know of to make the actual diagrams?
Any input is appreciated

I'd like to know also. I tried using the standard Visio without any success. I'm not paying for the "upgraded" version that has schematic symbols in it: it's too expensive for me.

I use a jurassic version of Autocad, amazed it still works with modern Windows. Or a stone age writing pad if I'm not feeling so polished

Just google 'free circuit diagram software'. There's bound to be some out there. Download several, till you find one that is actually functional in a useful way with requiring paying for a key to upgrade to the 'working' version.

Just rough it out on a sheet of paper. You're bound to change a few things as you do the job; quickly update your rough diagram as you go. Do it in pencil, so you can erase easily. Then make it pretty when the job is done, as a reference for next time. Your time is better spent working in the car, rather than endlessly revising the computer diagram.
