Trunk Latch

So i have an 88 camaro and the trunk pop does not work and i have been told that they have the trunk latch feature aswell, where it pulls the trunk down even tighter, is this true? does anyone know how it is wired? My whole trunk is filled with cut wires

I'll try and link some photos of what I got whenever I can get to a computer. Can someone tell me what I am missing and what will have to be done to get this working

It has the whole mount on it. Just not sure if the 91 will fit a 88. Will have to look into it.
Here is a link that might help, these guys maybe able to help you with what you might need.https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/spon...et-camaro.html
But let me know if you are interested in a used unit.

Re: Trunk Latch

There were differences between the 86-87 & 88-early 91 style pull-down units, but they are functionally interchangeable. The 86-87 has a large white connector on the blue wire that connects to the red/white stripe power wire. The 88-early 91 have a smaller black connector on that blue wire. That is the only thing you'd need to swap.
