blower motor?
The blower motor on Dad's 89 GTA works sometimes but not others. When it works it works on all speeds. I've heard it's the blower motor since there is always power at the motor when tested even when the blower isn't working. It was an L98 350 (it's now an LS1). Question is... Are all the blowers the same? Ebay ones are all listed as for a 3.8 Turbo or 305. It's hard to imagine there is a different one for the 350. Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Re: blower motor?
advance auto parts has one for $29.99. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...m=blower+motor
I just bought it to see if it drew less amps than the original one. The factory blower draws 21 amps on high. The new one draws 19 amps out of the housing so I think it would draw at least 21 once installed and under pressure. I would suggest buying one and testing it out when your existing one is not working. I just held it in my hand and plugged it in since I was just checking the amp draw. I will be returning it since I never installed it. You could do the same if it turns out to not be the problem. As I was researching the amp draw on the net I saw that some people constantly blow the resistors until they replace the blower. My car is an 89 gta 5.7.

Re: blower motor?
Tap the motor gently with a hammer or wrench while it's got power and misbehaving. It'll probably start up when you do this. If it does, it's the motor for sure.
