1992 Camaro motor swap wiring questions
Whats up guys? Ive got a 1992 camaro rs that was originally a 305 TBI and i have since pulled that motor out and am swapping in a carbureted 355. My issue is with the wiring that im going to have to do. I am wanting to keep my stock gauge cluster and all my stock gauges but my question is can i just install sending units in the new engine hook them up to the factory harness and have all my gauges still work? I plan on leaving the factory harness intact minus fuel injection connectors and such that i dont need. Im also wondering the best way to retain the factory in tank fuel pump? I plan on running a holley fuel pressure regulator with it to bring the pressure down to about 6 psi or so for the carb but im just wondering if anyone has done this before and knows the best way to make the pump run off keyed voltage? I plan on running the cooling fan the same way whenever the key is on the fan is running because i usually only drive it in the hot summer anyway so if you could give me some advice on wiring that up as well it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: 1992 Camaro motor swap wiring questions
I'm doing the exact same thing in my ride. I don't know about the gauges, but the stock fuel pump should work fine still without any modification in wiring. The way I make my fan come on is by turning on max a/c ( I have no hvac system anymore).
