Car: 1984 camaro
Engine: 305 v8
Transmission: auto 4 speed
choke warning light

ok so i have an 87 camaro 305 and about a year ago to get it running i bought an edelbrock 1405 carb never had problems or warning lights till i washed my engine all of a sudden the choke warning light goes on and off as it pleases i wouldnt car but it makes that buzzing noise does anyone have any clues why now and how i can kill it

Axle/Gears: EATON POSI 4.56
Choke Revoke

A bad connection at the bulkhead connector can cause the Choke Light to come on.

Also a bad connection to the choke heater.

Review those connections to fix it the right way.

But if you just want to “
kill it (not recommended)
access the Audio Alarm Assembly which is located in the ‘Convenience Center’, which is to the right of the steering column and remove the buzzer.

There isn't a choke buzzer, the noise comes from the choke relay and is an indication of a charging problem.

Check the choke heater fuse first.

also chec the two wire sometimes three wire oil preasure sending unit. It may be under the distributor, or just above the oil filter on the side of the block.
