Neutral safety switch and backup lights with hurst shifter

89 firebird formula. Restoring it. Hurst shifter and push button start.. I wasnt given an explanation for the push button start.. assuming this is the reason.. I was looking for the backup light wires.. but this wiring looks like it's attached to the switches wrong.
I'm assuming the heavy green and purple (In the black shrink wrap) are supposed to be on the right hand switch and the thin wires to the left. Check the pictures. Please let me know if I'm correct.

In the second pic that blue wire and that green wire are for the backup lights.
