"New" vats and ecm...worked now doesn't.
I've been without my camaro for 2 weeks now. All because my vats module died on me. Today I put an ecm and a vats module from a car in the junkyard in my camaro and it started right up and ran. I took the throttle body apart and it sprayed some gas so I sealed it up and let it set after that. I went back and it did nothing. We had the starter relay jumped when it ran fine, and now it just sparks each time and melts that jumper wire. It makes no sense. The starter should atleast work when it's jumped. It did for two weeks, now it won't. Any ideas?

Put a DVM on it and see if goes to ground
Confirm problem is not within the starter itself by running a heavy wire from terminal ( purple ) on starter to the batt ,
touch on the POS terminal ( out of gear ) and see if engine cranks.
If starter works ;problem is with wiring from relay to starter,
if that jumper wire burns out also ;problem is with starter

How do I use a volt meter to see if it went to ground?
