Fusible link for headlights and interior lights keep burning out
Like the title states this is giving me an issue. It all started
After a small fire in the engine bay when the header wrap
caught fire. The fire took out the starter, pass. side spark
plug wires, knock sensor, temp sensor and the fusible
links that come from the starter. I replaced everything
that was damaged and the car once again functioned fine.
Until one day I noticed my lights were not coming on.
I found the link have burned out. So I replaced it again.
While driving the next night I hit a pot hole and lights went off
again. After changing it once more I went to put my fuse box
in the upright position. I heard a pop then the fuse box
Started smoking. Any ideas on where I should start?

Re: Fusible link for headlights and interior lights keep burning out
So I took the fuse box down. The wire for the headlights
was burned pretty bad all the way to the bulkhead connector.
It also damaged the insulation on a few other wires which caused
the short and the fuse link to keep burning out. Next, I'll
be replacing the wires. Then solder and heat shrink them together
before rewrapping the harness.
