OLD Cal Custom/Hawk "diagnostic tool"

I was recently given an old (like, ancient) Cal Custom/Hawk "diagnostic tool." It's basically a multimeter with a tach/dwell setting along with a couple other things... 10 functions in all. The instructions, however, sat in this guys basement for upwards of 20 years, and they're all stuck together, and I can't seperate them without ripping them... basically, I have no idea how the thing works. I'm wondering if anybody out there ever had one of these and can tell me how to use it. I can post a picture of it when I get home from work. Thanks!

Re: OLD Cal Custom/Hawk "diagnostic tool"

yeah, that's what I was wanting to use mine for mostly... i've been through a couple different instrument clusters, and i'm curious to see if my tach is actually accurate. Mine has a lo-rpm setting and a hi-rpm setting... how do I use them? I assume I connect the positive to the positive on my ignition coil and the negative to ground somewhere?

it's the "EZ Tune" 10 function diagnostic analyzer, btw. Not sure if that's what you have, but I assume they work the same.
