Speedometer questions
I have just fitted a 1988 GTA dash to my 1982 TransAm for various reasons, all of them good to my mind.
Well everything went well, cable mods the lot and all guages work as intended bar the speedo.
and that is because the 1982 had a cable driven speedo and the GTA has an electronic signal driven speedo.
I have a speed sender from another GM car down here (holden) which when I feed it directly to the speedo makes it work , albeit a bit wrongly.
Rather than me mess about designing a VSS buffer to get thing right does anyone know where I can get my hands on a speed sender and VSS buffer from a 1988 GTA.
If I can get these original components, that will allow me to insert a speedo correction box between the VSS buffer and the speedo to adjust the speedo to get the speed right to allow for the 15 inch wheels my car has been fitted with.
Or I am open to other suggestions.....![driving](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Many thanks John
