Are our window switches DPDT switches?

Here's the deal, I have a small piece of crap plastic DPDT on-off-on switch for my exhaust cut out. It's got 6 connections on the back. There's some generic switches at Radio Shack that would do the same thing, but I want to buy a power window switch, and mount it in the console to match the other switches. But.....our window switches only have 4 connections on the back. I'm NOT an electronics guy, but are they not a DPDT on-off-on switch?

Anyone see where I'm going, and have any info? Ideas?

Internally they're DPDT center-off.

Yes, you're right!!! LOL, actually I just read that often times the reverse polarity will be switched internally, which of course, you already knew!!!! Thanks for the quick response.

...so basically I just need to buy a window switch, figure out which prongs are which and then wire it up, correct? Should work, right?

Quick question on an old post, First time wiring guy here, which of the four is ground and which one is power? I tried to hook it up but blew a fuse, guess i had something backwards.

If you read the postings in the thread you would have seen the answer to your question.
But if you're needing to know because you do not have the original wires or plug...
Take the swicth with the picture of the window facing up and rotate it around to see the terminals. They should be at the bottom and to the right.
Wires should be,

black pink
tan blue
I would do it as a picture but they never come out right for me!
