Camaro v6 to a v8 swap
I have a couple questions about a 91 model camaro.
i'm buying this camaro and it's a v6 model, but i like my power so i was planning to swap it for the all original 350 possibly a 327....until i heard the horror stories.
Everyone I ask about it tells me that you can't do it and make it run right or they tell me that the wiring is the biggest issue..
what all is involved in engine swapping this car?

Re: Camaro v6 to a v8 swap
There's an engine swap thread with several threads discussing engine swaps.
The short version is that for what you'll spend on a 6cyl Camaro, and all the parts to make it a V8, you can get a pretty nice V8 Camaro that you won't have to assemble yourself.

if you wanted a 350 it'll cost you $350. Buy a 383 stroker kit. Then bore out the engine over .30. Then, you'll have a 6.2L which is an LS4. The only thing that you'll have to spend for is the X pipe so that you'll be smog legal and buy the LS mounts for it. I've seen this swap done for under $1,000
