I've got an 88 GTA with the digital dash. I started my car up for the first time in about 4 months or so today and in the speedometer area of the dash is just says 100 without km/h or mph underneath it. It then flashes to 0km/h for a second then back to 100 again for about 10 seconds and repeats. Has anyone had a similar issue or may be able to point me in the right direction as to what the issue may be? Thanks

I realise you wrote your post about a year ago, but wondered if you'd fixed it. I converted my car to digital dash about 7 years ago but rarely use it. I also started the car after many months and got EXACTLY the same problem! -I'm guessing it's something related to damp/condensation or simply the components not being used.

I also got some weird reactions with the RPM going to the maximum so I'm wondering if it's some kind of earth problem.

If you fixed it, would be pleased to hear how you fixed it...
