LED Instrument Panel
Ok, im doing the led light conversion for my guages. I want blue lights that have the wedge base already so i can just plug and play. i dont want to deal with resistors and crap like the tutorial. Can anyone suggest the brightest light and widest angle without charging an arm and a leg for them? i have already looked at super bright leds.com but they cost too much for me. i dont want their cheap ones cuz they are not bright enough for me. thank you.

Do not buy those single led's THEY SUCK, you won't even be able to read your instrument cluster at night. Anyway, have you thought about the tinted incandescent lights that most parts stores sell? I have red ones in my car and they're just a tad dimmer than stock, but for $1 a piece I really can't complain. The part # for them is like 194B for blue lights. Otherwise, your either gonna have to make them yourself or cough up the cash for superdimm.com's 6 led lights.

Re: LED Instrument Panel
I've never tried the blue lights so I don't know. But some of the incandescent lights are brighter than others. When I bought lights for my car I had to buy two different brands ("xtreme auto" or something like that and "eico") and the eico lights had a darker tint and were a tad dimmer than the "xtreme" bulbs. I only had two of the "xtreme" so those are the ones I put in HVAC and shifter lights.
I also saw on line (don't remember where) there was a place selling bulb covers, so I guess you could use some of the "heavy duty" or extra bright incandescent lights with bulb covers. To be honest the red incandescent bulbs in my car are dimmer than I'd like but I'm too lazy to take the cluster out again.
