Battery volt gauge
Is it suppose to read higher around town than on the highway?
Around town the gauge reads a little above 13V (about 14volts)
On the highway, it reads slightly below 13 (about 12volts)
The battery and alt are brand new, maybe 150 -200 miles on them.

Re: Battery volt gauge
it should read around 14 all the time. it should actually be constant when you're on the highway, because of the steady high rpm. your volt gauge might be inaccurate though. i always double check with a voltmeter across the battery when the car's running. i'm going to invest in a whole set of aftermarket gauges soon, so i don't have to worry about inaccuracy.

Also it will read slightly below 13 if the car is cold. once it gets to temp, i can watch the gauge go to about 14.
I had the charging system checked at NAPA, and they said everything is ok.
thanks
