Wiper position sync

Possibly a dumb question, I had my windshield replaced, I wasn't there when it was done but have noticed that the passenger-side wiper doesn't go all the way down when I switch them off, it stops about an inch too high. There's nothing in the way so I think the gear/motor is just slightly in the wrong position.

I can't see an obvious way to adjust these, could anyone shed some light, otherwise the wipers work fine.

Regards

Re: Wiper position sync

Just take the wiper arm off the wiper motor stud and move it a few 'clicks' around the stud. The stud is grooved.

That's where the dumb question comes in, I can't see how to take them off!

Re: Wiper position sync

On mine, there is a little tab on the side at the bottom of the wiper at the post. A fingernail (more often a small screwdriver) to pry the tab outward and hold, while lifting the arm straight up off the post. Sometimes they are a PITA, and you have to use a larger screwdriver to help pry upwards, or the open end of an open-ended wrench that's large enough to go around the post. Tapping the top sometimes helps break the dirt/goo that's cementing it on.

They are on a post that's grooved. You just need to remove and twist 1 or 2 grooves in the right direction.

While they are off, you can take the blades out, and hit them with a shot of spray paint to make them pretty again!
