82-84 camaro wiper wiring
Can anyone help me with a wiring dilemma I have. The hacks I bought my car from a year ago cut off all the wiring for the motor except what was neccesary. When they did that, the idiots cut off the wiring to the wiper motor and pump. I got the wiring diagram for the motor and pump, but do not know what wire goes where. If someone with a little time could map one out for me, it would be appreciated. I am going to make my own harness for them, although I may call Hawks and see if they would cut one off for me. Thanks for the help.

Take a look at my first post in this thread. It has a link to the wiring for 82 delay style pump. The attached photos are of the wire connections at the washer motor and pump. The wiring goes from the pump to the C100 bulkhead connector, thru the bulkhead and then to a connector at the base of the steering wheel. That connector plugs into the wire loom that goes up the steering wheel and out to the switch.
I will have to do a bit more checking, but there should be a photo on the site showing the connector at the base of the steering wheel. If you need them, I can look up the connection points used in 82 at the bulkhead connector, to get the wiper wiring into the car from the engine compartment.

Re: 82-84 camaro wiper wiring
Thanks a lot for that. I have the wiring from the bulkhead connector, its just that the idiot I got the car from cut the majority of the wires from there. Could you also tell me what resistance the diode is for the delay. I did not see that in the diagrams. Thanks again............. EDIT: I believe I found the right part number from another website by a guy who does retrofits to delay wipers on GM vehicles. The part number is 1N4004, or the radio shack catalog number is 276-1103. Its a mini 1A rectifier diode with 30A protection.
