Slow Responding Tach

I've just done the whole tachometer fix a tach with the resistor reading infinity. When I did the tach fix i installed two 100k ohm resistors in series with a 100k ohm pot. It's the first time I've ever seen the tach working and it's rather slow to respond. Below 2000rpm the tach isn't too slow. If you punch the throttle in park the tach lags behind the engine about a second in time. If someone could post a link to a working third gen tach video it would be much appreciated as I have no clue what speed the tach should recpond. Also, I don't know if the chip is from a v8 or v6 car. If the capacitor on the board is wrong I could easily solder in a different one.

Thanks,
Scott
