Re: battery relocation problems

Does the start drag when the engine is warm? Do you run both the (+) and (-) battery cables to the front, or anchor the (-) cable to the rear body somewhere near the battery?

Re: battery relocation problems

The stock starters are junk. I've never had luck with any of them and been stranded more than a few times mostly due to hot start issues. I would first return the starter and buy a starter w/ gear reduction. I've been using the Summit mini starter for a while now with good success. If that doesn't solve the problem, it's still a good thing to do. Since the battery & alternator are new, if you continue to have problems, I would double check the wiring/connections.

Re: battery relocation problems

yeah i figured it out feel like an idiot but here goes. i have the motor grounded to the subframe where my old carburated fuel lines used to mount (ran a new fuel line because of my dual exhuast) i noticed that it wasnt grounding right because of the paint under it. i scraped paint off until it hit bare metal and havent had a problem since. you could do the same if you have a fuel injected car bacause the fuel lines run the on the driver side not pass. also you might want to run a bigger batt and a good allternator. im running a f150 1000ca batt. just let me know your setup and i will see if i can help llater dude
