gauge cluster repin

Has anyone just repinned their stock gauge cluster harness to work with a 140mph speedo? Does anyone have a pic of their harness plug from their 140mph speedo? It can't be that hard. In the middle of a lt1 swap so I don't need a vss buffer box. If someone could tell me what colors go where across the top and across the bottom that would be a huge help.

Re: gauge cluster repin

I got it to work, but it's been a long time since I did. I ended up buying some connectors out of a 88 car and just repinned mine to match.

Did you ever or do you have still a copy of the 82-85 style cluster pinouts? Trying to figure out some serious wiring issues...

Not sure if 82-84 are the same as 85. I just followed the basic diagram for 86-92 gauges. I do remember that each connector needs a power souce as my 85 harness only one of the connectors had power with the key on.
