Grounding Aluminum Heads to the block?
good idea or bad idea or it doesnt matter?
MSD told me that with thier ignition box, coil, and dizzy...the AL heads do not make a good ground...that it would help if I ground the heads somehow to the block...which I did..
Im thinking it couldnt hurt

Re: Grounding Aluminum Heads to the block?
it wont hurt anything, but aluminum is a better conductor than iron anyway, and the heads are bolted to the block in many places, so i fail to see where there would be a grounding issue, besides, the battery ground is connected to the head right? and the ground strap from the engine to the chassis bolts to the head right? so where is the issue?

Re: Grounding Aluminum Heads to the block?
Shouldn't that be accomplished by simply bolting the heads to the block?
