2 questions Fan Issue and Relays? PICS
Hello,
Questions 1. I did a 91 tbi to 87 tpi harness conversion and my single fan only turns on when I have it on an AC setting? Any Ideas?
Question 2. Also I am afraid I might have the wrong relays plugged up. It runs but isn’t right just yet. I have 4 relays on my firewall now 2 new and 2 old connections they are as follows:
Square 1. Orange blue tan black/white red I have 10067925 hooked up to it. (Maf power? But i think i might have the wrong relay plug up)
Square 2. Orange Orange black blue I have 14078907 hooked up to it (Maf burnoff? But i think i might have the wrong relay plug up)
Old Oval 3. Black/White orange green green red I have 14089936 hooked up to it
Old Oval 4. Black/red green red gray I have 14089936 hooked up to it.

Yes code 33. can anyone tell me the purpose for the relays and there functions?
first one is MAF Power 2nd is Maf burnoff what are the 3rd and 4th relays (oval)

swap your maf burnoff and maf power relays around, should clear up the code 33, the other two ovals are fuel pump and electric fan relays.

To burn the contaminates from the heated wire in the maf, it does this by supplying enough current to super heat the wire for a few seconds when the key is turned forward before startup. It does this so it will have a more accurate reading of how much air is passing by it. if the burn off is not working, over time the maf will not be able to measure the correct amount of air going into the engine due to contamination and will cause poor performance.

looks like you have the wrong burnoff relay
those are part numbers for 87's

Yeah i got another burnoff relay but it still give a 33 code! Also when i try to start it. It is as bad a carb in -10 degree weather! lol if i disconnect the advance wire it starts right up?
