i heard somewhere that summit's ignition stuff is made by standard motor products. if thats true, forget summit. to be honest i'm leaning towards the accel unit. any suggestions?

P.S. i'm going to do everything else MSD- cap, rotor, coil, wires- i just dont like the MSD control module so much.

Re: which high perf. ignition control module?

None of the above, the so called performance ignition control models have a tendancy to go out rather quickly. Go with an AC-Delco

Re: which high perf. ignition control module?

I recently installed a new ignition module(GP Sorsen sp?) about 2mo ago and it went bad (and left me stranded) 2 days ago. Good thing I had my 20yr old AC Delco-GM module in the garage. Installed it and it fired right up....go OEM

Went MSD and lasted a few years.. then burned up on the freeway.. then went to stock and didn't realize much difference in the car.. but threw in an accel.. all fullfilled their purpose

Re: which high perf. ignition control module?

When mine went out. I looked around b4 I bought one. I read alot about the Accel units fizzling out quickly, and same for other manufacturers. So I just went with the trusty AC Delco. Been a year to 1 1/2, no problems.
