Re: Uh oh, all my wires are cut!
The connector you describe is the C100 Bulkhead connector. It had all the front end lighting circuits, headlamps, high beams, turn signals, parking lamps, hazzard flahser, ect. connected to on portion of the connector. Also connected were several power distribution wires from the battery to the fuse block, ignition switch, headlamp switch, etc. The wiper controls also went through the connector. The actual connections varied a little bit from year to year, based on options and engines.
This link has wiring diagrams for your model year, however they do not have the pinout of the connector.

I can post for the 82 Z28 CrossFire TBI engine, but I don't know how many, if any changes occured for the 83 model year.
Perhaps some others will come along with a better idea of what was connected where for 83.

Re: Uh oh, all my wires are cut!
There is a VIN decoder on the site at this link whcih should tell you want engine the car came with.
http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camaro_info_db/index.php?act=decoding&year=1983&tm=1
For your parts car, the 8th digint should be a "7" for the LU5 Crossfire engine.

Visit the link in my first post and scroll all the way down the page. You will find diagrams for the C100 connector for both your 85 and 90 cars. Note that the connectors have different connections and are reversed for those years. You can also see what circuits are connected to each side of the connector. You did not mention which of your cars you were refering to, so I am not sure what the answer is
