Oil Pressure Idiot Light problem

84 Berlinetta factory stock: I don't know if this is an electrical or mechanical problem, but the oil pressure idiot light comes on when I am driving, particularly at high speeds above mach 2, or when I accelerate with afterburners from 50 mph. Oil level is full. Oil pressure gauge says plenty of oil pressure. Sometimes the idiot light will stay on for a long time or until I slow down under mach 1. Do I replace the oil pressure sending unit behind the distributor? Is there another sensor somewhere that I need to replace? I've driven far enough with the light on that if there was really low oil pressure it would have siezed up the engine. I just don't feel comfortable with that idiot light coming on time after time and the light dispaly on the dash resetting to OK when I slow down. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
