knock sensor addition
Hi everyone,
I'm retrofitting my 84 firebird that already has a healthy 350 with the 1228079 computer and hypertech chip. I know this computer was part of the ZZ4 kit back in the day for the third gens. For the most part, I've got the installation down. What I haven't dealt with, however, is the knock sensor. With the compression I'm running, this is definately something I want on my motor.
Does anyone have experience adding the knock sensor to your motor/wire harness/computer?
Thanks,

Does the ecu and block have provisions?
If so, get some wire and buy a new connector and sensor.
Knock sensor is around the number 3 cylinder typically

The ECM does have provisions for a knock sensor. I believe the block came from a mid-late 70's Monte Carlo, so unless the knock sensor picks up a mounting provision already there, it probably does not.
