Power to Bose kickers?

Anyone know how the Bose kickers got their 12 volt power? I've got a pair in mine but the head units gone. Looks like they have a pink/black hot wire going to them. Front kicker and rear deck wiring seem to share this pink/black for power, each speaker has four wires and the other two to each speaker match the audio inputs. How does this power wire get hot?

Curse former owners who mess with a good thing.
