Electric smell and smoke coming from the AC vents.......

Hello, I haven't posted here in a while. Just wanted to say hi to all of you guys and glad to see this awesome site still up. Ok well I guess I'll just jump to my problem. I was at school today and (I'm going to say everything I did in case something else caused it) went out to my car to go home. I look down at the ac controls and decide to turn them off before I start my car. So I do.

Then I start my car and it immediately dies. Then I smell that gross sweet smell of an electric burn. Like as if a wire burnt up. Then all of a sudden a bunch of smoke came out of my vents and the defroster vents near the front of the dashpad. I started to freak out thinking my car was on fire, and opened my hood to check for burning wires. I didn't see anything. When I got back in the car the smoke stopped coming out. So i started the car and waited for something. No more smoke came out, so I turned on my ac and it's like nothing ever happened.

My question is where the hell could that smoke have come from? Obviously it came from something in the vents, is there wiring that runs through there or something that could have shorted? I'm going to take apart my dash tomorrow in hopes of finding something but it could really help to know what to search for in order to fix this problem. Thanks a bunch everyone! Eric

Save yourself time. Check your blower motor. 4 little 8mm or so bolts in front of passenger side of cowl in engine bay.
