Coolin Fan Relay
So I re-wired the correct way the coolant fan relay is suppose to be connected(86 Trans Am Service Manual way) and now my Throttle kicker relay always has the RPMs up..
Before when I got the Coolant fan relay replaced everything was factory just like in the Manual, the tech wired it as a 3 wire relay, not the original way(4 wire) he did not connect the Brown\white wire (throttle kicker relay) and the fan would stay on for 5 to 10 minutes after I turn off car. Since then Feb 05 I had a short, fan switch does not work when car is 220, no fan, I had to find a dealer that had the relay (autozone, advanceautoparts nor strauss don't carry them in store). So I went to Associated Auto Parts and they had them in stock(10038311). I went home and took relay harness off and rewired it the way the manual states(still no coolant fan switch). connected it- A, B, C D. to A, C, D, E. So now Lectric fan comes on with AC is on and RPM are high all the time, I still got ta replace fan switch.
So question is, What wires do I have ta cross on throttle kicker relay to get fan to come on when you turn off car? was not a feature when car was purchased 5 years ago. assuming all is wired back to factory.
1986 TTop Trans Am 305 .30 over (blah blah) 4bbl Auto a whole 172 1/2 hp (wow) ( My 2003 Neon has 173hp) a killer Stereo, But @ least I can pick up girls my age 42
I read the article on this site 4 days ago. I just can't find it...
