Does anyone know what color coil wires are a stock 86 lg4 Z28 replaceing with accel
Hi, I replaced my coil a while ago with a accel supercoil, I just want to make sure I replaced it with the right one, I used a red yellow wire combo but I see that they have a red white set up also and it say's to make sure you pick the right one. I am unsure of what colors the stock coil was and I can't seem to find it. Thanks alot
P.S what happens if you use the wrong one? thanks

"The color of the pick-up coil connector has to be yellow if one of the ignition coil leads is yellow. If the ignition coil has a white lead, any pick-up coil connector color except yellow is OK."
From my experience, all the ones on I've seen from SBC apps (especially 3rd gens) have been red/yellow. The only one I've seen red/white was on a cadillac.
As far as what happens if you guessed wrong, I think the you get coal in your stocking or something!
