Elec or Mech Guages?

Car: 89RS,89TBI FB, 91Z28, 89TPI FORMULA
Engine: 357 SBC TPI
Transmission: World Class T-5 (for now)
Axle/Gears: Strange 12-bolt 3.73
Elec or Mech Guages?
Newb question: I want to install air/fuel and fuel pressure guages in the cockpit. Is the "mechanical" or "electrical" versions easier than the other to install? I'm sort-of unclear on the differences of each, could someone help me out with this?

I wanted to add some auxilary gauges and mount them in my upper console area... You can use Cyberdine Digital Gauges, they are small and acurate... & for custom install, if you open up housing (like I did) all is on one printed circuit board, so you can customize it and put it almost anywere, they are very thin. They also sell pillar pods that put them along the winshield if you like.

How many gauges have others installed into their vehicles and how? I'm considering installing a trans temp gauge and a fuel pressure gauge but I'm not sure how to do so. Running wires isn't a problem, I am more concerned with reliabitlity and how to mount. I know Autometer has excellent gauges and gauge pods but I'm curious what others think.

Mech F/P is a tossup, you mention a 355, but don't say if it's a TPI or TBI, or carb? If you have a TPI, mech is more difficult and expensive due to having to have an isolation block, so you don't go spraying 50psi of fuel all over your interior if something malfunctions. Carb is not so critical, being only 6ish lbs. I wouldn't mount a F/P gauge internally, but that's just me.
