Brake light
Hey
I have an 86 model. It has the third brake light on the rear windscreen which is not working. Bulbs have been replaced and nothing. All the other lights are working so its not a fuse. So firstly does anyone have any ideas?
I have had a volt meter on the metal plate by the boot latch and testing where the bulbs are and there seem to be no current going through.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram?
Also, how does the brake set the light off (apart from the obivious), since my brake pedal failed and was fixed, and its the only reason I can think of as to why the light no longer works.
If you can help, cool, if not thank you for reading!!!

If all else fails replace the brake switch on the brake pedal. There are two seperate circuits in it, one for the regular brake lights and one for the third brake light. There is a purple wire going from the brake switch on the pedal to a 15 pin connector under the left kick panel on the drivers side. It then becomes a yellow wire going to the rear hatch contact.
