I think it is suppose to fit the coolant sensor in the front of the intake but the connector is round and the sensor I bought is not. The wires appear to be light yellow and black.

Is that the coolant temp sensor? I have a cts and it does not fit with the connector. Is it possible is it for the mat sensor? When I got the car the sensor's plastic top was broken off. Just two little prongs sticking up with the wire attached.

Brut, to answer your question I used plasti-kote engine enamel primer and then dupli-color engine enamel cast coat aluminum.
Novass, thank you for going to the trouble. Looking at you pics it hit me like a brick. The end of the sensor was still attached to the connector (cant see the forest for the trees). I am so used to fixing the connectors that I expected something wrong when there was not. Looking at the connector unpluged I knew something was wrong on my end. Thank you and everyone else for the responses. I am sure I will be posting again. My next sensor to tackle is going to be the MAT.
