bosch spst relay trigger voltage

bosch spst relay trigger voltage
Does anyone know the minimum voltage for an SPST relay to trigger?
I'm fighting starter issues. My purple wire is getting around 9v and more often than not my starter doesn't turn over. I will do some rewiring first to see if I can bring that voltage up, but if that doesn't work I may hook up a relay to the battery and trigger on the purple wire to feed battery voltage to the starter.
I think 9v should be able to trigger the relay, but I'm not sure.

The "Bosch" style relays that I've played with like this need 8V to pull-in 6V min-holding. Note that "Bosch" is in quotes. There are allot of "Bosch" style relays out there and they WILL differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
I would fix whatever is broken though. If your just seeing 9V at the starter, I would check for bad motor grounds first and go from there.
