Headlights don't work!

I've had a headlight problem for several years now...sometimes they work just fine. Other times, when I hit the switch, they turn on but don't come up. Then, I can close the driver door, or hit the breaks, or put the car in gear and they pop up. Other times they won't pop up unless I open the hood and manually do it. I know the motors are just fine, its a problem somewhere else. Can anyone help me out???!!! Thanks-

Very possible that your switch inside the car may be shorting out but if its been happening for several years now then it would have gone out by now.

But I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. My passenger side headlight would sometimes flip up normally, but most of the time it wouldn't. But if I'd close my door just right, it would flip up. I began to feel like "the Fonz" because I could do it almost anytime.

Turned out the passenger side connector wasn't securely plugged into the relay module(firewall behind the master cylinder, should say "GUIDE" on it). So with the right vibration(door closing, hitting a bump, etc.), the connector made contact, and the light flipped up.

But the connectors can be stubborn, so fuss with them. Don't just accept that they're secure because they LOOK secure. Mine took a bit of forceful wiggling to get it to snap in securely. Hopefully that will solve your problem too.
