ACC Fuse (rear hatch, dome lights, pwr locks and mirrors
Just wondering if anyone might have experienced this before. I just bought this car and everything was working. Then I brought it home and gave it a good detail. Now my acc fuse is blown. I have noticed that the int lights, rear hatch relaese, pwr windows and locks are on this circut, but i have no idea where to start. Fus e is sparking if you try and replace it. If anyone has chased this gremlin before please give me some ideas.

If you put a test light in place of the fuse you can get the circuit to stay active. Then you just have to start unplugging stuff untill you get the light to go out. You should be able to narrow down the short from there.

i had the same exact problem as you. my problem with mine was the door jam switches were some how shorting out and causing a problem. i just disconnected them and everything works perfectly except for the dome light. which i dont mind maybe you might. but just a suggestion

Thanks for the imput guys. I will start where Ryan found his problem and see what happens. Hopefully my problem is the same.

imtlk, lay your seat back, lay on the floor and look up at the fuse block. there will be a chunk of harness to the right of the block, this chunk happens to rest on a dash support and will cause all sorts of electrical issues. i had issues with my lights and wipersa due to this. a friend had issies with his mirrors, dome light, pwr locks and a few other things because of this.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I decided to start where Ryan found his problem and discovered an aftermarket alarm system half a** installed. I proceded to trace all of the wires and remove the system. installed new fuse and so far so good. I just hope that was it. I guess I'll know in a few days.
